"CIRCUS OF HORRORS" - 1960
Freaky British film about a psychotic killer on the lose in the circus ring. Circus and carnivals are a perfect setting for horror movies, will freakish acts, tortured animals and scary looking clowns, bloody murder and violent deaths are just part of the act.
There are some disturbing images of slain women and deformity in the movie but what is most disturbing about this film was the charming little love song "Reach for a star" by Garry Mills. When I was a kid my sister would taunt me by playing the 45 of this song, so I am scarred for life by it, just like the women in this film!
Along with the other movies on this site, there are some pretty bad acting supported by really ugly colors and costumes in "Circus of horrors" . It's fun to watch and upi can match it with a disturbing sing-a-long to "Reach for a star".

Vanda Hudson was born on Thursday October 7th 1937 in France and at one time when she used to be the beautiful original actress from the all time greats.
With her wonderful performance as the victim Magda Von Meck in The British Horror Movie Circus of Horrors directed by Sidney Hayers when she is pinned into the infamous spinning cartwheel and something is very wrong also seconds later she is killed by the throat in front of the huge crowds in the circus alongside Anton Diffring,Jane Hylton,Yvonne Romain and the song Look For A Star sung by Garry Mills made the british charts in the summer of 1960.
She appeared in the famous TV & Films including The Avengers,Libel,
Jungle Street,Strip Tease Murder,
The Vipe,Ticket to Paradise,The Heart of a Man,Sapphire,Innocent Sinners and Father Came Too.
Vanda always mixing with the famous stars as Ian Hendry,Ann Lynn
Partick Macnee,Eric Barker and Kenneth Cope best known as Jed Stone and Marty Hopkirk in Coronation Street & Randall & Hopkirk(Deceased)fame.
Sadly on Friday April 2nd 2004 when she passed away at the age of 66 years and I won't forget the great original beautiful British actress icon from Circus of Horrors is the late Vanda Hudson.
