ALICE SWEET ALICE

"ALICE SWEET ALICE"- Was another horror comedy made during the 70's "Exorcist Craze", featuring haunting images and a psychotic little girl.
Paula Sheppard played the depressed and angry 12 year old Alice, her younger sister Karen (played by Brooke Shields) and their single mother (Linda Miller), from the very start of the film the audience can tell who the favorite is among the two sisters.

We see a lot of typical fighting a bickering between siblings, until Alice go to her secret shrine in the basement of their apartment building, to retrieve her favorite gear; a yellow raincoat, a plastic mask and a weapon....Then the screaming starts.. we're treated to a series of violent murders, all the evidence point to Alice....

Director Alfred Sole has a talent of making everyone in this film look as ugly as possible. Like many horror movies the audience were fed with images of sadistic violence and cutting to images of the Mother Mary and other religious icons, obviously Mr. Sole held a grudge against the Catholic Church.

The best part of the movie is Mr. Alphonso the morbidly obese, filthy landlord, who was constantly taunting Alice and showed sickening sexual attraction to the 12 year old. There are plenty of screams and laughs to this film while you can't take your eyes off the disgusting images of blood, torture, you can't help but look at stain that is so visible on the crotch of Alphonso's pants, so powerful that you can smell the urine in the air!

Come on -- the kid's just a little rambunctious! She'll grow out of it...

I've never seen this flick, but it does look like it may be ridiculous enough to check out.
